“It is clear that many authors want to be able to charge commissions in the chain. We believe that the choice should be behind them, and not for the marketplace, ”Opensea explained.
From November 8, the platform will begin to charge commissions only from those new collections that use the appropriate tool.
“In the coming months, we will launch additional options and improvements for fees in new collections. We will interact with the community to receive feedback on this path, ”Opensea said.
The Marketplais team said that she already thinks about alternatives to help the authors of existing collections navigate the changes in the NFT market.
For the latter they promised not to make any changes until at least December 8. In this case, Opensea also plans to discuss innovations with the community.
“We admit that not all creators, collections and communities are the same, and strive to develop a long -term policy that reflects this,” said Marketplais.
Previously, the NFT platform Magic Eden on the basis of Solana canceled the obligatory royalties.
Recall that in October Opensea added support for non -replaceable Avalanche tokens, increasing the number of available networks to seven.
