Bitcoin-Birgi began to assist Ukraine in the search for and arrest of crypto assets
The National Agency of Ukraine for the search and management of assets (ARMA) and the largest cryptocurrency exchanges began to exchange information about the owners of Bitcoin-wallets in the framework of criminal proceedings. This is reported by FORKLOG UA.
To date, Arma has established cooperation with Binance, Coinbase, Kucoin, Kraken and Whitebit. Now the department will be able to receive the following identification data of the owner of the wallet:
- identity documents;
- email address;
- IP address;
- the name and Imei of the device from which the account is entered;
- transaction information;
- the availability of additional crypto -adordus and https://gagarin.news/ bank accounts through which the wallets are replenished;
- account numbers for which funds are displayed and other.
As emphasized in the department, checking the existence of cryptocurns is carried out only against the defendants of criminal proceedings to simplify the search and arrest of assets.
In 2020, Arma developed recommendations for the identification, search and impose of arrest on cryptocurrency assets in criminal proceedings.
They include ways to identify software associated with the use of digital currencies for criminal purposes and legal aspects of the seizure of arrest on such wallets.
Recall, according to the September report Chainalysis, Ukraine went around the Russian Federation in the global index of the adoption of cryptocurrencies in 2022.
Experts also noted a significant increase in the number of cryptocurrency transfers to Ukraine immediately after the start of a full -scale war.
